|Patrick H||To truly check for coil bind, you need to fully compress the spring in a press (carefully) and measure the length, then compare that length to the distance between the coil spring seats at full bump.|

|PStov98TJ||If you can still see the bumpstop, it's not bound. Coil bind is when the coil is fully compressed. Post some pics of the situation you describe earlier and we can tell you for sure.|

How to prevent and check coil bind
Have have 2" lifted coils w/ an additional 3/4" leveling spacer in the front. 0-2" bilstien 5100's. 2" rear bumpstops and 2" body Mount bushings on the front spring perch. I tapped the perch 1/2" NCT.
When the front is disco'd how do I check to make sure I don't experience coil bind? Is it just a visual check at full bump? I have had it flexed we here the rear jounce bumper is completely squished in the cup(cup touching spring perch). The front barely touched the rubber jounce bumper but the spring looked very compressed. Not completely bottomed out. I just don't want to mess up my coils.
