No windows, top up, is how I like to run mine as much as possible.
I've had no major issues. Sometimes you will get just a bit of a flap on the sail panels (the 2 parts that tuck in the rear. ) A small bungee would take care of that, but it hasn't bothered me enough to do that. If your on the interstate quite a bit it could be a good idea. It was suggested when I asked about the same question a year ago. http://www.jk-forum.com/stock-jk-tec...e-cool-237243/
• I like how you don't get fried mid day with the top up.
•You may get a cool gust of wind from time to time with all the windows out. With the rear windows in, rolling down the front windows feels like someone is holding a leaf blower to your face.
•It's easier to load stuff without the folded up soft top in the way.
•Without 2 people putting up the top is annoying and awkward. You can still use the sun rider feature, where you fold back just the front seat part. I never do that, but on a starry night it could be cool. The sun rider is painless to clip back in.
•If you remove the carpet (or better yet bedline the tub) only major downpours pose much of an issue.
You might want to also check out Trektops as an alternative.

Didn't drop the entire top since I needed to load some stuff in the back and it would get in the way. Later today/rest of the week she'll be totally naked.

|BigManAndy||My Jeeps like this right now, top up all 3 windows out and doors off. I do it all the time. Maybe I'll run out and grab a pic for ya in a little bit.|

Definitely possible. Saved me from getting wet today. Weather man said no rain, so I pulled the windows out before work. I left the top up because it was still a little cool out.
By lunch there was a nasty drizzle going.
When it clears up, I'll drop the top the rest of the way.

Yes you can leave the top on with the doors of and the windows out.
Not the best picture but here you go. Plus here is a picture of the SpiderWebShade.

|yomondo||I've used the soft top without windows, with and without doors, and with and without the door surrounds when doorless. So many possible configurations. I also have a SpiderWebShade mesh top.|

|warbird24||Sure you can take the doors off also with the top configured like that. No pics to prove it but it works.|

|Lamp||That's the I have my '11 set up now. I just keep the top folded in back in case we get a freak rainstorm. I've driven many times at 75mph on the interstate with no issues.|
|05-01-2013 12:13 AM|
Yes you can. We drove like that 90% of the time for well over a year now. No problems.

Yep, I've done that as well and even at highway speeds the rear corners didn't pop out.
However, my top was still new (tight) and I've heard stories where the corners did pop out.

Yes. Careful with the sliders for the sunrider portion. Also sometimes I've rolled the rear corners up around the top and took the rear window out. For an even bigger bikini.
Yes you shouldn't say that either.

Can you run the soft top with NO windows on 2 door?
Was wondering as soft top weather is coming (it will be my first season, got the Jeep last month) if you can run the soft top up with the side and back windows removed, on a 2 door. Just having the 2 rear corners connected, and of course the front...
Kinda oversized Bikini style or "Safari"
What about with doors off?
If it is possible, Pics would be great !
p.s. "oversized" and "bikini" are two terms i NEVER wanna put together again....
