I hope my sons get into Jeeping similar to your family. My 4 yo says he wants and orange Jeep and gets excited when he sees one on the road. I have 2 sons with a third due in late November. Hopefully I can get them all hooked!

Because it honestly is a way of life.
The search for adventure, the "taking the road less traveled" (often literally), being in the outdoors and loving it, being late to school because you found a little tiny mud hole on the side of the highway, and being part of a group that is so much more than just a bunch of guys with the same car.

I am a Honda engine management tuner (or at least I was in the late 1990's- early 2000's). Specializing in reprogramming/chipping/dyno and street tuning OBD1 Honda vtec ecu's. In the late 1990's a small company called Hondata (now they are huge in the Honda scene) started selling Honda ecu upgrades and tuning software. I was the first one in my local are to get their s300 system. Back then it was a mind blower to have an adjustable two step launch control system and adjustable re limiter built into the factory ecu.. People started asking about it and I told them it was a Hondata computer. Someone threw out the nickname "Tomdata" because my first name is Tom. The name has followed me ever since.
Btw... If anyone in this forum knows what's up.. I still have a 1997 civic ex coupe with a JDM TypeR motor swap in it as my daily driver.. Old habits die hard.

Bear = I graduated from Baylor
Big O = I spent a lot of time (and money) in college at George's where they sell a 16oz beer (back then for $1.50) called a Big O.
Been my handle since my first AOL account in 95. I have since found out that "bear" is a common internet term for a certain "lifestyle" for guys.
Oh well ....

|Randog||Many years back I used to be a General Contractor and I hired my down and out next door neighbor as a laborer. Billy, when younger was heavy into the Ventura area gangs and had all the jail tattoos to prove it. Billy and I became very good friends and as friends do, they start to call each other nick names. I use my middle name (Randy) with my friends because my first name is mostly only used by my mother or a government official when I’m in trouble. I guess “dog” is respectful title in jail so Billy stared in calling me Randog. I even had T shirts made up when I was in business with the avatar you see on line. I still use that logo to this day on my cards for my side business.|

People always ask me if I'm an electrician. ...... Far from it!
In the early 90's (That was yesterday right?) I was helping a friend put up some xmas lights ( C-9's). I didn't see that live wire sticking out when I grabbed it. ZAP!!!! I think I may have lost a few years of my life from that event. Any who.... That same night I told my friend (same friend I helped put up the lights) that I would help him with his junior high youth group. When he introduced me to the kids he called me Electric Jay. So that's what the kids called me. The name stuck.
I was going to use D GERTIE for my screen name. I call my Jeep Gertie. But like some of you have done, I used the same name(electricjay) in different forums.
