Looks like a nice YJ!
Welcome to the jeep world.
It is only too bad that Florida is mostly flat, sand, and swamp with not many places to really go rock climbing or on nice challenging trails. However, there are some off road groups in FL and maybe you can find something.
Anyway, take the top off, and enjoy cruising in the FL weather and sun!

|Abdul-Hakeem||Welcome, sir. If everyone drove a Jeep (and had magically subsidized parts and fuel), there would be peace everywhere tomorrow. We would be too busy enjoying nature and our vehicles to find time to argue about the things which may normally divide us. I never met a truly hard-hearted person who was close to nature and active in life. I'm sure you will enjoy the forum like anyone else regardless of surface issues.|

Welcome to the Forum. I love how candid you are about yourself. It made me laugh. Just remember your Jeep is one of the few vehicles out there you can make any way you want it.
High or low, wide or skinny, clean or dirty, off-road or on....pink or black. They all (almost) look good. Just read and learn from others mistakes though. And most of all, ENJOY!

Welcome aboard, and gratz on the YJ !
I hope it brings yall limitless adventure.
As far as being "butch" (which I think is a reference to masculinity)....dont sweat trying to give an impression. Just be yourself.
Let others have whatever opinion they like.
I've seen folks slide down out of lifted F-350 smog-hogs who look....uhmmm...mighty fluffy. And I've seen folks climb out of a convertible volkswagon rabbit (cabriolet) who could clearly kick my ass in a jiffy.
It aint what you drive....its how you drive it. (snicker)
go have fun.

|O_M_Jeep||Welcome to the Jeep world, Barbie had a Jeep, so getting butch with "Hank" may not be so easy but who cares, make your Jeep all about who you are and enjoy the Jeep way of life.|

Should I be butch?
My name is Philippe, I am from France and lived in Florida for almost 3 years now with my partner Paul.
Coming from a country where diesel is king, I bought a Yellow New Beetle TDI 2 years ago. Since I am not what we call a butch guy, I realized that I should have chosen something a bit more masculine, especially when the color of the car is actually tagged "Sunflower."
After driving "Heidi" for 2 years, spending about $2000 on stuffs (mostly electronic and inside finishes falling apart), I really got fed up and decided to buy something old, rough, with less electronic, and basic stuffs.
I bought a Jeep yesterday, a 1995 YJ that I called "Hank" which is probably going to cost me a fortune, but that might help me on the butch side, and maybe teach me a bit of mechanic!
Have a great day y'all
Philippe (Do not pronounce it Felipe pleeeeease)
