Water Dog Check and see if they might have knocked a vacuum line off on your engine or brake booster.

Big Cole Could be a loose tranny Mount. Vibration when in gear and rigged is stopped won't be related to driveshaft angles

PStov98TJ Well the only way to not get BS'ed is to educate yourself. And you're in the right place for that.

chum567 Thanks for the input...I just know shops can be difficult when it comes to fixing stuff that didnt get done correctly. Just hope they dont BS me to pay and fix things because I dont know a whole lot about the parts to know 100% what was done and if it has to do with something they did wrong.

PStov98TJ Check the front end thoroughly. Steering linkages, that dreaded DPA might not have been installed correctly. Also if they actually did all those unneeded steps with disconnecting the drag link and other suspension components, they might not have been torqued correctly.

And if they installed it improperly, they are at full responsibility to fix any mistakes at no extra cost.

chum567 Ok Ill check after work...also more details if this makes a difference...the vibration is the front end and my steering wheel and brake pedals vibrate too.

PStov98TJ Check your rear track bar and your sway bar links. Crawl under and check everything that may be loose. I know when I did my lift I undid my exhaust bracket to put my lift on to get a few extra inches of room to get in and install stuff. So the hanger may be loose.

chum567 Well I noticed it right away after picking it up from the shop when i got to a red light and when i was at a complete stop the vehicle immediately started vibrating in the front. Now it doesnt do it every single time but 80% of the time it does. It only vibrates when I'm pressing the brakes and completely stopped. Otherwise no vibration at all.

Also right when I was pulling into the driveway I heard something metal fall and I saw a bolt in the road and picked it up assuming it came from my Jeep. I was gonna run it back by the shop and show them the bolt and tell them about the vibration BUT I wanted to check on here first because I don't want them to suggest stuff and charge me all this stuff if instead I can get some suggestions to mention that might prevent overspending on unnecessary attempts to fix this.

PStov98TJ Looks like a t-case drop was used if he followed all directions and it was used. It may be the shifter linkage that is vibrating. Can you give a better description of it?

Also uninstall that DPA and put a stock one back on.

chum567 Well I didnt do the install myself but based on the link i attached in the instructions is shows " Install the new Skyjacker transfer case linkage pivot drop bracket to the OEM pivot bracket using the OEM hardware."

The installer did everything based on the instructions.

PStov98TJ Did you install a t-case drop or an sye/cv with the lift?

New Lift Problems

So I had a skyjacker 4 inch lift done yesterday and now I have vibration that I didn't have before. This is what i had installed. http://skyjacker.com/images/pdf/TJ401BPH-R.pdf

I looked around and saw that a lot of people had vibration as well but the thing they all mostly had in common was their vibration was on acceleration. Mine only vibrates when in gear and at a complete stop. The users that had vibration on acceleration seems to be a sye drive shaft issue but since mine is only at a complete stop what could it be? Any help?
