You can keep the car, send me the cheerleaders.

micah360 I'm 38 years old and I'm on my 18th vehicle (and my 7th motorcycle), you might say I have automotive 'ADD'. Out of all those cars the only one I really, really miss is my 1983 VW GTI Rabbit. That was the most fun little car, and I have the best memories from that car (college days). I actually kept that car awhile as I was so attached to it. But when I graduated college, I wanted to get something a little newer. Bad mistake, I should have just put that GTI in storage.

not my car... but it was exactly like this one... and this is how I drove it

mrpotatohead My 2000 S2000 that I bought back in 2010 with something like 45k on the clock. I only paid 11 for it. I absolutely loved that car but felt like it wasn't "me" (I guess you could say I went through an identity crisis at 21) and sold it to buy a 4x4 Prerunner silverado which turned out to have a tweaked frame and spliced harness. It went to a good home though. The last time I saw it it had a massive FMIC sticking out from behind the bumper and had about $5000 worth of coilovers and wheels on it and was making some awfully neat noises.

JimsJeep My mom had a 76 TR6 bought new with the optional hard top and all the bells and whistler. It was a Sunday car to her but she rarely used it. I drove it all the time and loved it. Came over on day to use the car, opened the garage and it was gone. My dad said, oh we got rid of it because it was just sitting. He sold it for 5 grand with about 6 thousand miles on it.

At the time I was single with plenty of cash, and would have bought it in a flash.

anavrinIV My first truck was a 95 f150, I6, 4spd with OD, regular cab with a cloth bench seat. It was as bare bones as you could get. My dad bought it new in 95 and drove it daily until I got my license (he got a marauder, I drove the truck). About 6 months later I was coming home from work and got t-boned in it, totaled. It was slow and drank gas but I miss it.

Drove a 99 ZQ8 sonoma for 5 years after that...4.3L, auto (hate), stock lowered suspension. It was fun for a few years but after the a/c went out and I couldn't afford to fix it the ride was miserable. It's been gone for a couple years and I really don't care, it broke too many times to count.

Edit...My grandfather had also offered me a 76 CJ when I was 15, My father flat towed it home. After we went over it for a bit he decided it needed way too much work. The motor ran strong but it needed seats, top, new fenders, exhaust, battery, tires....too much for a kid with no job.

I'm quoting myself because I found a pic of the S10 I had a few years back. Figured I would share it.

I wish I never sold my first BMW... while it wasn't nearly as nice as my current one, I would have saved a lot of change along the way and would have another down payment for a house.

BlueRidgeYJ Sold an 88 Mighty Max and a 87 Yota to get the Jeep. I miss those trucks, but it was still worth it. The other ones I am glad to be rid of.

+1 on BMWs making fantastic rides. Riding in an Alpina was my favorite, followed by a Dinan. Amazing machines. If I get a chance to get one of those, I'll keep it until one of us dies.

Guns, however, are a different story.

crazykosmo 2003 Z71. Every option except leather. I installed Ranch Hand bumpers front and rear, Ranch Hand steps, tint, stereo, black toolbox, Rhinolined, K&N FIPK, exhaust, custom CB install, demolded, debadged, leveled, and probably much more. Was about to do rims/tires when I decided I wasn't hauling enough to justify the 4x4 V8 truck. Regretted it ever since.....until my LJ. Sorry Z71, you would have been traded for the LJ

Moabite Yup...my '82 Scrambler and '47 Plymouth coupe.

Carlsbad0331 YES, my 2006 Nissan Frontier. Lifted, long travel, custom bumpers, custom roof rack, custom cage, custom sliders, skid plates, killer stereo, GPS locating alarm system and enough HELLA lights to give someone a sunburn...
Wish I still had that one! Sold it WAY TOO CHEAP.
OH, and a 1991 Callaway Camaro...Was too young and stupid to keep that one!

I'm gonna guess you have never driven the hot rod version of the X5. It has been a while since it got rid of it...I have the jeep now and love it more everyday.

MoBass sold my 1970 Fastback Mustang and a 77 Ford Bronco with a 351W.

MOPWR2U I sold this 2004 TJ, and immediately started kicking myself in the butt for selling it. Its still the best Jeep I've ever owned.

Also sold this Jeep, and promptly regretted it. The 6.1 Hemi and SRT handling were incredible.

C.L. Technically once, while water skiing. Regretted it IMMEDIATELY...

Rob1957 Too many to list them all. The one I regret the most was a 1971 240z.
