|jeepwayoflife||As a comparison, the 2.5L engine does have about the same HP as a prius but less torque, also the prius weighs about 100 pounds less and has much, much better aerodynamics. Start adding bigger tires and armor/bumpers without regearing and you are looking at some big power loses from the jeep. 4LO you should be fine|

|Jerry Bransford||Are you climbing those steep offroad trails in 4Hi or 4Lo? If it is bogging in 1st gear and 4Hi, shift into 4Lo.|

|JakeBreen||On highway it looses speed on hills of course... but on off-road in first geat it bogs down climbing in 1st gear. I run 31's.|

|Jerry Bransford||It bogs down when climbing a steep offroad trail? Or is this happening on the street? If the latter, what size tires are you running & do you downshift to a lower gear when it starts bogging?|

My 4-banger starts to bog down when climbing in 2wd. Is this normal just 'cause of the 4-cyl?
