I wouldn't want to lose that functionality because its nice to see the tire pressure on the dash (if you have whatever feature that is)
Thanks for the input folks.

+1

Without the TPMS if you ever go back into a national chain or a reputable tire shop they wont touch your tires if your year and model came with them from the factory .Federal law they told me at 2 different places.

^ Discount Tire did NOT charge me to swap the sensors.
I only purchased the tires and installation from them. Purchased the rugged ridge wheels online.

also, I got lifetime rotate and balance !!

JeepHerz Re-set TPMS/tire pressure threshold with AEV Procal.
Enjoy your new wheels and tires.

jeepers29 I do believe your jeep will not pass state inspection with any warning lights on, from what I can remember.

Discount Tire did this when I bought new tires & wheels. They may have been required to do it regulation?

live_slow Hi. My Jeep and new wheels and tires are on the way. No TPMS. Ordered AEV also to zero it out.

YMMV, but I think if a person is prone to checking tire pressure regularly or airing down/up, TPMS isn't a big deal. Some folks never check their own TP, and TPMS is an important safety feature for them.

Edit, I have also found that a good TP gauge is worth every penny :-) but everyone probably knew that.

Bvh55 btw, the wheels and tires are getting installed tomorrow!!!!

Curious about this (Tpms)

When you folks swapped out your wheels, did you go ahead and move the tpms sensors over to the new wheels or did you leave them off and use a programmer to disable the sensor (or just deal w the sensor light)? Discount Tire told me today that I MIGHT have an inspection issue if the tpms sensor light is on.
