If you are not in a rush to buy, usually around the 1st Saturday in June they have an Open House event, where everything you order online and at their location is around 10% off. I am waiting till them to purchase some of my stuff as its just before Summer and a good time to prep the Jeep!

st1264 Just picked up my Bestop NX and Red Rock side steps in Detroit. Squeezed in $63 of gas into an almost empty tank and had an amazing meal at Slows BBQ. Damn that was some good bbq.

Gov't nailed me for $110 in taxes, but I saved much more than that... as soon as I declared $775 total for the soft top & side steps he got his little yellow pad out and I knew it would cost me. Hope someone will buy my stock side steps. A little worried about the NX because the box looks pretty beat up...

You might want to check to see if there's a place called " Mailboxes ETC" close to where you cross the boarder. There's a small handling fee, but they'll receive mail for you and shoot you an email to tell you its there. The US to Canadian dollar exchange value is slipping so I'd take advantage of it while its still worth it.

Em52 I recently ordered about $3000.00 of stuff in one order from Northridge4x4.ca. After comparing to the US site, doing the exchange and the driving to the US to pick-up, mind you it's 6 hr drive/return for me, so a days worth with pit stops, food and gas, then duty/taxes at border... Turned out for me the savings was not worth the efforts.

Don't get me wrong, if I happen to travel to the US for any reason, I take advantage of the lower prices and free shipping!

Just ordered a set of Grabars for the front from Northridge4x4.ca, their prices haven't changed since last fall, so with the dollar dropping, actually got it delivered home for pennies difference if I would've bought in US, bonus for me! It doesn't always happens this way, but fun when it does.

Was in Florida for Daytona bike week last month, go every year. Ordered the Superchip Flashcal from Quadratec.com, when I got it and checked my PayPal to see the Cdn $ I paid, very close to the Northridge4x4.ca. Still worth it cause I also got Rugged Ridge grill mesh insert and VDP front bumper ends (till I get a new front bumper). Northridge did not carry the grill mesh I wanted.

Either way you go, have fun with it, in the end that's what it's all about,.

LG ..... Life's Good!

I'm planning on buying these wheels when I save enough $$$ and it'll go well with them ($130.99 each in Detroit (American Racing Fuel): They look pretty damned good, don't they?

They look pretty damned good, don't they? Hate the stock plastic side steps/running boards as they are ugly and sit too close to the body, making them rather useless for me.

They charge $2 or $3 dollars per box and you're good to go. Much cheaper than a post office box but then again it depends on how much purchasing you're going to do. I have the business address registered with MasterCard so there isn't any conflict when charging the purchase. Here is one VERY IMPORTANT THING! You MUST show a receipt. The packing slip in the box doesn't count as that usually doesn't have dollar amounts. If you make the purchase on line, print your receipt and take it with you otherwise you will be spending some time at the border and definitely paying too.
Thanks for the advice! I wouldn't of thought about the receipt thing!

If you are not spending a huge amount of money, border guard may let you go. I guarantee my $595 soft top will cost me 13% when I pick it up, still a huge savings over the prices here. My friend bought a guitar at Guitar Center in Michigan, they pulled him over and it cost him $70 in taxes at the border but he still saved $150 over the best price in Canada. It's worth it.

Actually, depending on the state there may not be any sales tax . Can you cross the border and get a PO box in the states?
