mjf23 I have aftermarket Katskin on my 2012 with side airbags. The Dark Graphite shade matches the factory dark grey trim pretty close. Picked up some walmart special waterproof seat covers for trail/beach use.

Got the shop to install front seat heaters and an airbag for lumbar support in the drivers seat. The switches are next to the parking brake is the only thing noticable from factory.

Very comfy and looks real sharp, wish I could post a pic but the site is asking for a URL.

Neat idea...just not sure how the marker would turn out on the yellow/gold colored stitching. Hmmm.

That's great news. What kind of heated seats and lumbar support did they use? Was this done by the dealer?

Do we know for certain that aftermarket seat heaters can't be installed on seats with airbags? From the searches that I've done, it doesn't appear there's a kit available yet that works with the 2013's with airbags.

To give up and the awesomeness of a jeep because of the logos on the seats?!?!? As Rodney Dangerfield said, "Take my wife,.......please."

The marker trick sounds like a possible solution then. It would have to be the right color.....possibly a sharpie - those are permanent. I wouldn't do it though.

I don't think she will let you have it no matter what. I hope you get it but its the little things- don't let that stop you from getting it.

jk'n When your jeep gets to be 5 years old like mine it will matter not. The vehicle should put a smile on your face when driving it or even thinking about driving it regardless of the stitching on the seats and if it doesn't then you should be looking at some other vehicle. JMHO.

michiganadam You dont need side airbags. Airbags are dangerous if you ask me. I do not like having explosives in my car.

Infact im trying to replace my seats because stock jk seats are the worst seats ive ever encountered in my life. On my 08 anyway.

Anyway the seat skin is perforated on the airbag area. Im shocked that you havent found any seat covers made for the airbags. If ghe seat cover is perforated there too, wouldnt you be fine? Infact theyd work for non airbag seats as well.

They have seat covers that look like towels that hang off the headrests but they say jeep on them and are the ugliest thing ive ever seen. My bosd has them in his 10.

I also hate logos on my car. I cant even stand the jeep logo on the steering wheel. I know what im sriving and no one else is ever ever ever going to drive it.. ever. Jeep will never be for sale.

Postmon Do the airbags work with the Katzkin? A very nice, but pricey solution if so!

I think I found the thread to the marker idea: http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/pic...ow-221082.html
However it doesn't look like anyone has been the guinea pig yet. I think I'll check with an upholstery shop and see what they say.

I was thinking more about it last night and I know I've seen small fabric hanging from headrests on airplanes, trains, and buses. Just don't know if there's something like that on the market for purchase.

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated!

lesgoff You should be able to upgrade to katzkin leather or buy it aftermarket and have it installed.

Sahara - How to hide Seat Embroidery

My wife and I are interested in purchasing a 2013 JKU Sport S, Freedom or Sahara for on road use. We want side airbags and seat warmers. However, it appears that seat warmers can't be installed aftermarket because of the airbags. That leaves us with the Freedom or Sahara. But, my wife hates the embroidery on the seats - the Star on the Freedom or "SAHARA". It's a showstopper for her. So, I'm looking for suggestions. I checked into seat covers but the airbags may not function with them. My other thought was to hang fabric from the headrest to cover the embroidery but that may look awful. I'm hoping to find something that looks decent at least temporarily and eventually she'll relent. Any other ideas?
