Alright thank you, as long as the slip yoke is for the NP231 it will fit, correct? I see some on eBay from spicer but it says its for 87-95 yj :/
It says it'll fit up to 00' and I have a 05'. I just don't want to order it and it be to long

|Jerry Bransford||The only fix is simply buy a replacement output shaft yoke. You should be able to pick one up from RockAuto Parts Catalog|

So I was putting the ujoint inside the slip yoke using a press then all of a sudden the flanged edge for the snap ring shattered right off. Due to my negligence, do you have any ideas for a simple fix? I want an sye but can't afford a new sye, cv shaft, and upper adj CA. So for now just gonna fix the yoke.

|s14sh3r||Look at the shaft and see if there's a corresponding flat spot. I'm not sure on Jeeps, but I've seen other vehicles that were made that way as an index.|

|Jerry Bransford||Don't put too much grease inside the opening, just grease the splines themselves. Too much grease inside there can prevent the driveshaft from sliding in as far as it needs to at times which can cause major damage to the t-case or rear axle.|

|Lotek||Here's the side view, I just wasn't sure if I should take a wire brush and use some WL grease or just pump it with bearing grease. It also appears the part in the picture below has a tooth chipped? Any thoughts? Sorry for so many questions, I'm still new to all this stuff!|

|Jerry Bransford||What, surface rust? Unprotected steel will rust, apply some grease to the splines & put it back together if that is all you're asking about.|

Need help quick (u-joint), is THIS normal?
Was changing the front u joint on the rear driveshaft and when I pulled it out I saw this.
Do you guys see any problems with the pictures I took? I don't know but it just seems "fishy".
