Billmummey This is what I ended up with not my best welds its been a few years since I've had to make bumpers but I know it penetrated

Fredzo Mine went on in less than 3 hours (Q-tec 9000) on the stock bumper, which I needed for towing behind my MoHo.
Very pleased with the install, but couldn't use the stock, or aftermarket D-rings, due to a weird hole mismatch. 1/4" off moved the mounting plat by 1/2 " forward!

I'll figger out the geometry and report on it later this week.

I know that this is a very popular winch, and Q-Tec is ready to help me with my problem.

It has something to do with the factoy mounts, during the transition,

The winch is on, but looks a bit "hinkey", setting over the factory mounting bolts.

I know I won't have any problems with shear, but what If I need air support?

Billmummey I still need to get my hands on some 2" x 1/8" tubing I can make a stinger out of... I got it done enough to be functional though

Billmummey Cause I built mine from a pile of steel I had from other projects, lots of welding grinding and cutting but yes once I was finished making the bumper and winch plate I then painted them and it was a simple bolt on.... Total cost...0.00 + cost of a new winch

theYeti Why is it taking hours? Don't you just bolt it to the bumper run the wires through the grill and connect to the battery?
