It's actually better now with the dirt piles on the roads in. If I'm not too busy I might head out. I'm also thinking of checking out Rock rd

wolfen I work for the city doing fencing and fabrication so I talk to a LOT of people and trust me 4 wheel drivers are NOT high on Va Beaches love list, city officials think we are an unruly bunch that do anything to circumvent the laws of the city, so....keep a SHARP look out where ever you are....trust me

Same thoughts. Plus if there's an insurance requirement by the state that's the same fund. Set it up as an NPO.

Wow that sucks. I was thinkin maybe we could do a kickstarter or somethin. Make it basically public land with all donators being a partial owner or somethin? Or still kickstarter for a group of us to manage it and sell permits for cheap to access it? Then it's little personal investment and gets the community involved?

This would be cool. But prolly easier and cheaper in Suffolk, Franklin, or Isle of Wight than anywhere in va beach.

If we are serious about it, I say we hook up with HRJC or NOBSJJ and do a meetup somewhere and get a game plan together for it.

My former supervisor was going to open one on his property after he retired from the city, he lives far enough out that your closer to Mackee Island than Va Beach and the city told him NO, in Va beach you MUST have a rezoneing permit and they WILL NOT issue one for a public off road park, so.. the only option is to find somebody with the land, and make a private one

The only thing I have seen in this area close to me is the old one off London Bridge Road where the city blocked it off totally and the place off Damn Neck where the dump trucks go in and out but the owner blocked that off two, I would go in the city property behind my house but my front yard is rougher LOL

That makes no sense... Sometimes I think they just like screwing with us.... I've gotten similar treatment from PD at other places I've tried to wheel in VB, and they treat me like they just caught me drag racing down a busy street in the middle of the day......
