|indirocz28||I do agree if upgrading.|

|YJ fanatic||I would ditch it then. There is no need for it. The outer shaft holds the inner shaft in.|

|roadyrob||your 95 requires c clips to hold the axles in. early yj's didn't.|

I was just going off of my C8.25 rear Aussie install into my Cherokee last fall.
Being that this is going on a front axle, and the front is held in by a nut, bearing and washers, it may not require a C-clip inside the diff.
Either way, do the TJ axle swap though.

I just put mine in last weekend, and mine didn't have c-clips. Didn't even have channels for them. But even if your axle does have them, I don't see how you can reuse them. There's no way to get to the end of the shaft after the locker is in there.
And if there is a c-clip, it'll only be one, on the passenger side. They say they just put it on there to jeep the inner shaft in place during assembly. So once the outer shaft is in, you don't need the clip anyway.

C-clips get reused. Also do the TJ upgrade and save yourself the trouble of messing with that half axle BS.
Next option is to find a D44 from a JK..
Make sure you check and log your tolerances for your Aussie.

hey guys new to the forum. i just picked up a 95 jeep yj. i am looking at swapping in another dana 30 that has 4.88's in them already but the front is an open carrier. i purchased a aussie locker for the front but i am not sure what to do with the c clipe if it gets reused? tosed out? i know about the tj shaft but i would rather not go that route now and just use what i have.
