Newbie in GA
Hello all. I'm new to the Forum but not Jeep. There's a lot of good information on this site and I want to think all of those veteran Jeepers for their input on the various topics.
Here's the skinny on my soon to be Jeep Wrangler. I ordered a JKUR w/ the 3.73 rear gear box and changed my mind a couple of days later (thanks to reading 100's of comments related to 3.73 vs. 4.10 gearing). My dealer ordered me a 2nd w/ the 4.10 rear gear box a week later. Jeep 1 is in "shipment" status; Jeep 2 is "scheduled for production." I have a $500 rebate that expires 5/31. I'm confident Jeep 1 will be delivered to the dealer before the expiration date. Unfortunately, Jeep 2 w/ the 4.10's most likely won't be delivered until June. I'm now debating on taking Jeep 1 and saving the $500 for the Trek Armor seat covers. Note that I'll keep the jeep stock for the foreseeable future. Eventually I'll do 35" tires & a small lift. Based on more thread reading, 3.73s will roll those tires just fine.
Just thought introduce myself and throw out another conversation about gearing.
