|jadmt||2013 JKU with 8500 miles built on 083012 and so far trouble free. Do I expect it to stay that way? No it is a freaking Chrysler product. I swore after my 98 Durango I would never ever buy another Chrysler product but time faded the memory of how crappy Chrysler builds things. I have owned 6 new ford F150's and a F250 and build quality is so far ahead of jeep it aint funny. That all said I still like my wrangler but if Ford brought back retro Bronco with removeable top I would be all over it.|

Orange peel in the paint? It's standard buddy, as a detailer, I've seen it in a lot of high dollar cars - like the black S550 I did a year ago to the new F250 diesel last month. The guys on my forum that do exotics say that Lambo's are bad for that too.
My own car has it, you can only see it when the light is just right and 95% of the population would never notice it. Can I fix it? Yes. Will I? NO! It's a daily driver not a Peeble Beach contestant.

|Stevezie||I just passed 2k miles on my 13 jku sport and it's been great except for a really strange rattle on acceleration....kind of sounds like something is loose..from the back of the engine. I crawled under and poked around with a flashlight but can't find anything. I'm hoping it's just a rattle and not mechanical, but I must get it taken care of because it is very annoying...blow it up out of frustration, annoying. I really am just dreading finding the time to actually take it to the stupid dealer...ugh.|

|asianhulk||Thanks for the replies thus far! The "straw that broke the camels back" was when I saw the winch fairlead opening for the 10A was not centered. I'm not an engineer so I can't say why Chrysler did such a thing. I was impressed overall with a 13 rubicon the dealer had on the showroom so thought I would order the 10A but after seeing all the QC issues, I was wondering if it was purely 10A or if other wranglers had them as well. Seems to be hit or miss as some of the 10A's seem to be flawless, this holds true to what I have read thus far. Once again, thanks for all those have posted so far.|

|lando76||5 days old currently have 235 miles. The other night coming home while driving next to a divider i heard what sounded like a faint whistle sound coming and going. It was on the drivers side obviously. No clue what it might be, maybe the brakes breaking in or something. The other thing that took me by surprise is with the auto ( drove manual tacoma for 5 years) and 3.73 gears, when coming to a stop the transmission downshifts and actually brakes the jeep for me. Kinda feels like i have MT tires on when it stops theres a tread like vibration best i can explain it. Love the torque!|

Does it keep me awake at night? No but does it make me look more seriously at noises I hear and issues I notice. So far nothing other than a couple of minor issues that were easily corrected. Doesn't mean I don't like the Jeep, I love it, I'm just pickier about plastics than most since its my job.

I've been very pleased with my '13 Sport Base Model. I am not going to criticize it because doesn't have the fit and finish of a BMW. I don't care how my Jeep stacks up against those "luxury marques" because those cars don't interest me. As long as she holds up well, I will be happy. In addition to being fun as all get out, it was manufactured about two hours away from me. Parts on it say Made in USA. I think that is cool.
Thus far (admittedly only 1500 miles) no issues. If I have an issue, though, I will post about it promptly.

2013 Rubicon, with about 5,800 miles on it. I have not had any problems with it.
Mine is Black and has a nice shine to it when clean, but the factory quality of applying the paint, leaves a lot of room for improvement. There is a lot of orange peel in the paint. I understand that Black just shows it more and I have looked at others and they all have it too.
Some of you are going to say, come on it's not a Cadillac, but rather a Jeep. And I agree with that, but it still would be nice to see the orange peel eliminated!

|Z-TJ||I got mine 2013 in November it has 13k miles on her as of now. I have had no problems other that a little squeak behind the dash. This came after I pulled the dash to install new speakers.|

|Rodger L||We got our 2013 in Oct 2012 and have had no issues with it at all. I take it through the brushless carwash about every 2-3 weeks and have had no leaks. It's a it noisier on the highway, but that's certainly expected. We taken it through 18-20 in deep puddles ( Pt Mackenzie) and rinsed the roof going through others without issues. All in all a great vehicle|

|JKVet||Picked up my 2013 in mid-December and for what it is, it has been perfect. Not the sexiest fit and finish (as expected), but going in knowing that, there have been no issues for me. I'm ~5500 miles in and it's been solid, leak proof, and super fun. Good luck!|

Passenger side freedom panel was dark grey while the rest of the top was actually black.
Heat shield rubbing on the brake caused a bad squeak.
Lots of red/rust colored spots on the right side fender, right part of the bumper and a bit on the hard top. (Guessing it was from the train) took the tech guy 30 minutes to get off.
1300 miles on mine.. Aside from that its been perfect.

Due to my profession, I see lots of interior parts in my Jeep that tell me Chrysler doesn't use high standards for interior quality on Wranglers.
Most of you guys would notice things like a tail light that fills up with water, empty reserve coolant reservoirs, and a dash that wasn't attached to the vehicle. Mine has had those issues
Lets not blow smoke at the OP by saying the quality on the Wrangler is high. The design of a Wrangler is full of compromises and It's acceptable for what it is, a highly off road capable Jeep.
But we don't buy Wranglers because the build quality is perfect or all the black parts in the interior match 100%. We buy them because they are fun.

|xxxxxxxxxxxxxzy||My 2013 6 speed C.G. was build 9/12/12. That was a Wednesday. Mine's tight as a drum. No squeaks. No leaks. Nice fit and finish. Paint is very nice. Just over 5000 miles and very happy with the purchase.|

|legitposter||I wouldn't call it completely 'normal'. There's a reason Chrysler tanked in 2008 and a reason Ford is the only American maker that is surging right now. It's because, despite all other reasons, quality remains the most important. The OP's hard-to-hide worrying is warranted.|

|The_Chief||I have an early 2013 JKUS, and I've had no major issues...just some rattles here and there. I think the tire carrier design is weak sauce... I have the slightest paint imperfection that can only be seen when the Jeep perfectly clean, in just the right light.|

No QC problems.
NO PROBLEMS on my 2012 ordered new. May order 2014 if they come out with the 2.8 diesel that is used in Europe..
