Yea I realized that after I submitted the question. I was getting these confused with that bungee type cord with the metal hooks that people use to strap stuff down in truck beds etc.

GI-Jeep Those look great. Thanks for the link, I think I may give it a try. Nice thing is that you will always have some paracord available in case of an emergency.

Bamafever19 The reason I know this because I'm in military now an use these all the time

I see. Are these things real stretchy? Will they support the weight of an adult pulling on them to aid in getting in and out of the Jeep?

01svtL What's the difference between "string" loop and full grab handle? Is it explained in the video?

Bamafever19 I tried going round the roll bar up front with the braided paracord but it sagged to much so I took it off and and did the string to get the snugg fit. But either one looks good

cheap4tw I made a set for myself too. Instead of a string loop for the front ones I did a full grab handle and wrapped it around.

Works good with soft top, a bit too thick with hard top. I am going to make a second set over summer with a single row of braiding instead of double to use for the loops.

Anyways this looks hard but isn't and is a lot of fun. I found the worst part was the trial and error for sizing.

The General I was bored last night so I started practicing. It really is quite easy once you get the hang of it. I didn't have any paracord so I just used some polypropylene rope. I don't even necessarily know what I'll do with what I made but I'm pretty confident when I pick up some paracord it will be easy

Bamafever19 It looks difficult but it's really not, just watch the video and once you get the pattern down, it's called a cobra weave, you'll make these in no time!

themadhatter444 Thanks man. They look difficult to make due to how well they turned out, but I'll take that as you have a very skilled hand! Will tackle this weekend.

Bamafever19 20 minutes each they are real easy to make just Tara a little time not bad. Go to YouTube and look up how to make jeep paracord grab handles, and there is a great vid showing how to make them.

themadhatter444 These are awesome. About how long does it take to make one?

Paracord grab handles!

Ok I know there are other post on these awesome paracord grab handles but I just wanted to show you all mine that I made! They turned out great and save me close to 100 bucks. You can buy these from a guy who makes them online called surprisestraps or you can do like I did, buy the paracord on eBay...cheap, and make them yourself. Tell me what you think.
