bigbird87 the jeep I bought was a theft recovery, if the jeep had it at one time and when they attempted to steal it if was removed would that keep my jeep from even turning over now.??

thank you

do the keys need to be programmed?

I have a 2005 jeep wrangler, I have replaced the ignition and still not able to start the jeep, do the keys need to be programmed? I also have noticed the jeep has a plastic "key" that plugs in under my dash. were the jeeps equipped with a "anti theft" device from factory?
