just private stuff, around here you can get into most private spots during club outings, and there are some ORV parks in kansas and missouri, nuttin much. I fortunately have some family ground I play on.
not sure how close you are to prarie duchein but they have a club up there with trails

|tbloid||@tigerblood---I just noticed you're from Waterloo, any good trails around there? Or headed north?|

|tigerblood||I strted with 2.5" simply because I didnt plan on getting too crazy with it. But then it kinda just snowballed into what it is now, and the ball is still rolling haha|

Just a question though, why the 2.5" lift and 1" shackles. Over a 4" lift? I'm just curious since the 4" is cheaper than the other route.
Thanks again, I haven't had a jeep for 20 years, and back then I didn't care how or why, as long as it was fun. My last Jeep was a 78 CJ5 , it sits in a ravine in AZ where it fell after rolling down too steep of an incline and jumping out before it fell. Lol 60' down 10' wide where it sits, and too narrow at both ends to get it out.

thanks, forgot i had a couple of it currently, not a level ground shot, but should give the OP an idea of whats possible with only 2.5" springs

|tigerblood||heres just RE 2.5 lift and 1" shackles on 33's, a 4" lift and 33's would look about identical|

|tigerblood||I dont have a pic of mine since the BL and TJ flares/fender trimming, Ill see what I can do tomorrow|

|95YamJam||I have pics in my build thread. From stock with 30's to lifted with 32's, to 36's...|

|tbloid||Thanks for the idea's. Care to post some pics? With lifts and tire size|

|tigerblood||Thats a good suggestion YAM, and I agree, ive got RE 2.5/1" shackles/1" body mounts/TJ flares and I could easily fit 35's under it... in fact ive had my eyes out for an extra set of 35s, similar to what the OP said with 31's and extra 33's|

Honestly if you'r gonna go with 31's for a daily i would just do the 2.5" kit. The 2.5" kit will clear 33's with some massaging if your into that. By massaging i mean some cutting, some tj fender flares, and maybe a 1" BL, 1" shackle lift,extended bump stops or any combination of the above.
IMHO don't over lift if you don't have to. I run 36" tsl's with a 2.5" RC lift, 1" BL, 1" shackle lift, quite a bit cut out, and proper bump stops. She can fully flex and never hit's or rubs.

|tigerblood||the rc 4" lift will not look bad with 31's. And if its going to be a DD, especially with the 2.5, the 31's will be about all you want. You have the right idea DD w/ the 31's and getting and extra set of 33's for play time.|

Here's the deal,
I have a 91 with the 2.5 and the suspension is shot. Right now it's bone stock. My plan is to build this into a daily driver, with some weekend climbing when time allows.
The question is, and be brutal guys. I'm thinking about going with the rough country 4" lift. Right now I have a decent set of 31.5x10.5 tires on it. I'm thinking with the lift the tires will look tiny. But with the 2.5 I'm not sure how well it will do at speed if I go bigger. But I was thinking of getting some scrub 33s or 35s for the trails.
I live in MN, so if anyone from around this area knows what the trails are like. It may help. I would like to take the kids out and show them how to enjoy the great outdoors instead of Xbox.
