WranglerNation_YJ I had this issue on my 93, i replaced U joints in the front axle and also wheel bearings. then i changed the gear oil in my front differential (which was low) and it was fixed.

not grinding and almost cant hear it in first & second gear.very promanent 3rd.4th & 5th.completely goes away when steering left

jokerchief462 Check the brake dust shields and all that are for stuck rocks if you have been out wheeling or a bent dust shield. If not jack the front so both wheels are up put some jack stands in there and go under and see what happens when you run the wheels by hand and move the steering.

rotation noise

gotta 95 YJ 4cyl 5spd all stk,heard a rotation noise that continues when clutch is push in,goes away when steering to the left,just knew it was one of the axle bearings,replaced both still got the noise.Do i need to replace yoke&carrier too.I got a feeling its not as easy as the axle job,could it be something else,i assume its in the rear but the thing is so short i cold be mistaken.Dont hava lift&im doin all this on my back in a gravel driveway@62yrs old,enjoy every min of it,any advice or similar exsperiences welcome
