Yes.... My 2005 did the same thing.

See the thread below for a cheap fix. It has been dubbed the Shoppe Mod. Had gas spill on my shoe one too many times. Best $30 I have spent on it.

Fireaxe LJ Looks awesome!

Black out headlight bezels,
Bedline the interior tub
Take off those damn rear jugs (plastic end caps on rear bumper)

I do like the look of the black wheels.

lavern23 You've got the jeep bug! Just drive it a bit and find out what you like before modding just to mod. Enjoy

2006 Wrangler Unlimited TJL

I am new to WF and somewhat new to the whole jeep world. I bought by 2006 TJL back in July with a hard top, stock lift, 36,600 miles. Being a college student I haven't had the time or the money to really put a lot of work into her yet. I have a put a 2 inch teraflex puck lift on 31x10.5 BFG all-terrains. Smittybuilt rock-crawler front bumper, the rampage frameless soft top, Mirror relocation brackets, and I plasti-dipped my rims. I am looking for basic cheap mods i can do, both cosmetic and engine. Any advice I can get. I love the Jeep and the Jeep community

Pic 1 : the day i bought her
Pic 2 : Right after i installed the teraflex "lift"
Pic 3 : Plasti-dipped rims
Pic 4 : Side view of what she looks like now
Pic 5 : Front view of her

Thanks guys (and girls)
