superdiver that is a horrible story... been right out of school with broke vehicle...

IF IF IF you can... just hang onto it, keep it running and maintained and when you get the money fix it. think of it this way.. you will NEVER replace it for what you have into it now!

This stormy cloud will not go away

So I woke up Saturday early morning to a call from the police. My jeep was hit while parked outside of my girlfriends place and the driver took off. They hit/pushed against my tire on the swing out tire carrier which pushed the bump stop into the tailgate and crushed it in. The highlift jack was pushed through the hard top windshield and destroyed the windshield gate cross member. My swing out tire carrier was snapped right of the mount/hinge. The right quarter panel was dented in by the pull of the tailgate.

What is worse.... this damage showed me that my jeep had previously been in a wreck and was bondo'd up.... god only knows how much bondo is on the jeep and I am afraid to run a magnet over it.

What sucks is I only have liability insurance and I am 1 year out of college in a new job.... I can't really afford to fix it properly nor do I have the space in my apartment complex to store extra parts while I fix it slowly. :-/

mind you I just bought this jeep after my last one was hit and totaled on my way home from work.

like I said this stormy cloud will not go away
