SilverSport Yes, the boots can be worked free and worked back on. The pins/slides are available as a separate item from the caliper and sold as a pair.

Are the dust boots removable? I never tried so I don't know. Without taking those off you couldn't lube it

By caliper pins you're referring to the slides right? That attach the caliper to the bracket? Cuz on mine they have boots on it and I haven't tried to ever take those boots off. Even when I rebuilt my calipers I just left them alone

SilverSport One pad worn more than the other and at an angle usually means one of the caliper pins was causing the caliper to hang up and not slide evenly. Did you clean the pins up well and put the lube on them?

jkjeeper06 The slant is due to the way the caliper made contact with the pad. It should be even. Are those the right pads? Did you add some grease before they were installed?

muddinjk I also just noticed on old break pads inside pad is about twice as worn as outside pad?

muddinjk Na double checked the hose before alright ill take it all apart and retry again hopefully will work

Farnham21 I'd go back through it once and make sure something isn't stuck or rubbing on something it shouldn't be. By heavy do you mean hard to push down? If so, my take it on would be there is something impeding the travel of your brake pad and making it harder to push in

brake problem

I just took apart my rear brakes to change the pads. I did accidentky drop the set up and caught it with the caliper and the pins made a bit of a pop but everything seemed to slide ok. Finished putting in the pads and reassembled it all and now I have a extremly heavy brake pedal. Any ideas?
