kjeeper10 The pre runner kit for build for high speed off road. Shocks and hydro speed bumps being a good chunk of the cost. I would consider the standard long arm with even the stock equivalent Fox 2.0's.

BARBARIAN-X After talking with my Brother last night he is dead set on a long arm kit and is still considering the TeraFlex PreRunner. He has a guy that can do the install for free which saves him a lot of cash. If I was to get a Prerunner kit it would cost me a small fortune with the install so I'm looking for the next best thing. Are there any long arm kits out there that come close to the TeraFlex PreRunner in performance but could save me some coin without going mid arm?

You do not have to run the 6 packs. Many run the OME shocks and love the MC setup.

pooneej I went with RK 3.5" max travel and Fox adjustable reservoir shocks - was well under $4k for the parts.

I have the aev lift and it served me well for a bit but it reuses a lot of stock parts that you'll eventually need to change out. Aev spring are very good though. If your going to actually wheel it and have 4gs to spend on a lift I'd look at any RK kit - their springs or teraflex. Mine as well do it right the first time

COLOUJK Sounds more like you want a Prerunner kit. Take a look at Teraflex. or build a long arm setup with some speedbumps for bumpstops.

Nice kit they have there. Buy the shocks separate and use the rebates available on both. Save a good $400-$500

Darkfire Have you checked out Metal Cloak? Sounds like their Game Changer is exactly what he's looking for.

They have a few different combos, and building up to their Game Changer.

This is their mid line kit with ARB shocks, runs 1599 http://www.metalcloak.com/JK-Jeep-Du...ion-p/7117.htm
This is their full blown Game changer kit with their long travel shocks 3999.00 http://www.metalcloak.com/JK-Wrangle...Kit-p/7110.htm

Here is a long thread on metal cloak, worth the read and when your done you will realize why they have such a great system. http://www.jkowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=71064

Daniel_M Easy, go with Rock Krawler 2.5" Max Travel or 3.5" Max Travel for bolt in goodness with everything you need/want, excl. shocks, pick up some Fox, Bilstein or Rancho 9000XL shocks. You will probably be around $3k. Use the other $1K to re-gear.

BARBARIAN-X Thanks but I had already read that and it doesn't really answer what we are looking for. My Brother is not really interested in throwing anything cheap on on his Jeep and most lifts seem to be geared towards rock crawling which is something he would rarely do. He is more interested in what kits or kits + other parts that handle & ride the best on a rough woods road at speeds between 30-40mph.

Newbs Need Help With Suspension $4k Budget

My bro has a 2011 JKU Rubicon with custom bumpers, Bushwhacker Flat Fender Flares and 35’s on the way. We have been looking at lifts for a couple of months but are total newbs in this department. It seems like the more we read the more confused we get so I figured I’d post to get some help. This is his daily driver and his off-roading is mostly on woods roads. He says he wants to be able to do some rock crawling but that would be pretty rare so it’s not a priority. He’d like to keep it under 4k for a lift and shocks and is mainly looking for improved offroad handling and ride quality at decent speeds. Really need suggestions on what to get so please help us sort this out…Thanks!
