KBR97 I would sell the lift and tires and start out with a whole new setup. Start from scratch, dont go putting in the same parts that may have been the root of all the problems. Sell that crap, take the hit, save a few more $$ and buy new parts.

joemd60 You still have the lift and tires that's good, I know when the time comes I am going to go with the 2" BB from Skyjacker. Between the tires and the lift plus the install it will proabably run me $1500 plus.

orange05tj I know ya'll just playing around, I did say ya'll could get a laugh. It bothers me the Heep looks this way. I cant stand looking at it, but when the roof and doors are off, theres nothing better. I still have the lift and tires in the garage, so one day they'll return. Oh, and gotta love them round lights, hahaha

joemd60 Your jeep looks fine so no need to worry, heck mine is still stock and while I wish I had a lift. There are times when I read all the death wobble posts that I am glad it is still stock especially since it is my DD, and on top of that I also have other more important expenses right now so that is why mine will be stock for some time.

05GT-O.C.D. The gap reminds me of my old Jeep.

dooder You know i was just kidding, right? I had a pretty bad wobble of my own at around 60mph. I greased all joints that i could. check pinion nuts, rear one was a little loose. and balanced all the wheels twice...once and drive and after two weeks rebalanced. havent had a single wobble but then my 4cyl really struggles to go much faster. BTW, i had to shift weights around the second time i balanced.
and your jeep still looks pretty good, its no YJ but its ok.

orange05tj sell it, no way. out of the question. Its just funny looking with the tires and no lift. It rides alot better now and thats all that matters at the moment. I drive 102 miles each way but it's only for another 2 years, so when Im done needing it for daily driving, I'll be able to do it up. I figured ya'll could get a laugh at the way it looks, but I ended up getting put down for it because my priorities seem to be much different then others. It sucks getting hours and pay cut in half at work and barely making the house payment and 2 kids to feed. (plus being laid off for 3 months) Trust me, I wish I had a bad ass Jeep with time to offroad every weekend, but thats not how life for me is.

stumpbuster oh, didnt know it was an ongoing battle.. that sux.
for what its worth he asked us to laugh.

if EVERYTHING has been tackled as far as troubleshooting, the answer is so freagin easy!

MOz He's struggled with this issue for a long time and there's nothing humorous at all about DW. Why would we laugh at someone when they are having problems?
05-18-2009 11:45 AM

coming from someone whos tires are only a little bit bigger. Why not drive slower? 102 miles one way everyday, know how long that trip would take at 42 mph. do the math.

05GT-O.C.D. Looks fine to me too. Nothing to laugh at IMO.

jjseel Still looks good to me - quite a few stockers roll in my club - still do a pretty good job! (and get better mileage than me)

orange05tj long story. 1 to many death wobbles. DW at 65 mph on highway was enough for me.
05-17-2009 02:21 PM

05-17-2009 01:37 PM
njkeagle why did you do that?

Figured you'd like a laugh

heres an updated pic of the Heep now. Go ahead, laugh it up. Rollin on some 30's with 1" body lift, no suspension lift except 1" spacer up front

heres how it used to be

Isn't it supposed to be the other way around?
