Purp420Kush Pumping gas on the lowest setting gives you more.. pumping on high causes vapors to ecaspe back into the gas station tanks. Just a tip

UFOtestpilot If its a new issue I might be inclined to do some investigatory disassembly to see what's up, just to be sure before I bought anything.

7Mick2 Thank you all....
I have had the Jeep about 1 year now.... it just started it about 2 - 3 weeks ago...
I will look into the GM system. I do move the gas nozzle out, but still get the same results. So I have been hand holding the nozzle at a trickle, way below the first "auto" notch .... It does take quite a while...
Again, Thank you

UnlimitedRubicon I cannot put gas in at regular speed because it will come back out at high speed. I just set the nozzle at the slow setting and relax. No fuss, no muss.

UFOtestpilot It's the factory anti-syphon design. The fix is a GM filler neck or some such. I just have them fill it on slow, but it doesn't take 10 minutes. If you try letting the nozzle sit further out while filling you'll likely gain some flow rate.

JBD Do a search very common problem. You may have to loook on other Jeep sites. There is a fix using a GM filler hose.

lynn How long have you had this Jeep? Maybe a PO did the fuel filler hose mod and left the hose kinked... ??

Enemy I have kinda the same issue when I put the pump all the way in the filler, it keeps stopping. If I pull the pump out enough for some air to escape then it works as normal.

Fill er up????

Greetings Brothers & Sisters,
My 06 has developed a strange new behavior.... it refuses to eat!

When I go to the pumps, I can not put gas into the tank "at regular speed".... I must "trickle" the gas into the tank.....a 10 minuet job, to fill the tank....

Have any of you experienced this? My guess, yes I said guess, it that the breather hose between the gas tank and the filler is somehow blocked... is there a filter that needs to be cleaned/replaced? Is the hose known to collapse??

Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
