JerryJeepster The dealer just quoted me 2 hours labor to replace both axles that I bring in. I'm going to talk to my mechanic and see what he can do.

SilverSport The seal, bearing, and retainer will have to be pressed onto the new axles.

JerryJeepster The search is on for a good set of aftermarket axles. It's my understanding that the 12 axles are one piece so I can't just replace the hub??

JerryJeepster Yes. I bent my hub and tried to get warranty to cover it. They said no so looks like new axles for me. I was just worried I caused more than hub damage to it.

SilverSport Feel yes. Are sure the noise isn't from the brake pads sliding on the rotor?

rear differential gear noise

When lifted off ground and rotating one wheel, is it normal to hear/feel gears meshing together?
