pepatrick Colors are definitely a preference. I do believe that some of the skittle colors are a little crazy, but that is just me. Hey..I drive a white one so that kind of gives you a hint to my conservative perspective. That being said, Doser, Flame Red and Commando Green were possible color choices. If Flame Red was not discontinued, I would be driving one of those, but I am very glad I got the white.

JackedUpMedic I wanted a Crush 4door. But that color, along with Dozer & Gecko, went out of production at the end of 2012. I ended up ordering a white (3rd choice) and am looking into my options to adding some color.

Either way I'm going to enjoy the crap out of my jeep.

Wranglin4Life If I were going to buy a new wrangler right now it would be Gecko or Crush. Gecko would be first
Choice though.

mrbullitt I almost bought a Gecko. But as my Daily vehicle, I thought I would get tired of the color after a while.....so I went with Black lol.

Hawaii 5-0 Get what you like.

Also, you'll never lose your Jeep in a parking lot, unless there are multiple skittle colored Jeeps parked there.

socal-jk I actually went into the dealer to look at Crush and Gecko to order one and left that day with Flame red. Its a Jeep. Much like a Ferrari or Lambo, these colors work. They would look weird on a honda civic but on a Jeep Wrangler it works.

JayDubya Another skittle color lover checking in, but I haven't seen a wrangler in a color I don't like.

I was not planning to get my wrangler until I ordered one around the end of 2013. I had a high mileage Ford Fusion that got hail damage. I refused to put the insurance money back into a car that was not worth much more than I would have been able to get selling it.

I was disappointed when I learned that the Gecko Green, Orange Crush, and Dozer were not going to be available. Luckily a dealership here had a Gecko Green 2 door sport with the options I had to have and only a couple of options I was indifferent/willing to make compromises. I test drove and liked an automatic Dune but wound up buying the manual Gecko. If the other option would have been a Crush or Dozer instead of the Dune, I would have had to flip a coin and still sleep on it.

After I bought the Gecko, I loved the color even more. A few minor cosmetic mods made a big difference! Don't worry about what others think of your color choice. There will be those that don't like black, white, red, blue, silver, etc.

KSJeepBrah As long as you like, that's all that matters. I think a color like Gecko green would actually help with the resale value since the color is unique, fun compared to a regular colored Jeep. A lot of people buy Jeeps as a weekend toy so that color would be very appealing.

SHADYDC I usually dont like the wild colors but on jeeps and motorcycles i think the wild colors are the best, if i was buying a new one id def consider the gecko. i dont think color matters on resale for a jeep like others

Fireaxe You know that one that always looks good to you, the one that always catches your eye...that one.

That was Impact Orange for me on the LJ.

JKU's my vote is White.

whiteyjfm Buy a color that you like. If you buy a color that someone ells like, make sure they pay for the Jeep as well.

We love Crush and order one to our spec. Still the only one in town with one and loving it!!!!!

Pipper99 I love the bright bold colors: crush, rock lobster, gecko, dozer, etc. I thought that I'd quickly get tired of the gecko as a daily driver, but I love it every time I see one on the road: it's a head turner. I don't think that any possible lost resale value would be worth your daily enjoyment over the years. If you like the gecko, I think you'd regret passing it up for something more "sensible".

NeoJeep Don't be afraid to be bold. When I was at the dealership, there were just two remaining 2012 JKUs on the lot with a whole line of new 2013's in every color. The two remaining 2012 colors? Dozer and Gecko. And the deal I was getting was too good because the dealer needed to move the 2012 inventory. I agonized over the color decision. Decided on Dozer, and couldn't be happier now. BTW - the gecko sold 45 minutes later. The BOLD truth is: no matter what color you chose, it'll be YOUR Jeep, and you'll never second guess it. Now, if someone would have told me about those damn 2012 cylinder heads............ ;-)

Y-Guy I wound up with Sarah Tan, at first didn't appeal to me now I love it. Frankly there are enough standard Black/White/Silver cars/truck/jeeps I say be bold and be different.

Camojeep Just bought a Gecko and love it. I think its a great color for a JK.

Deezz22 to me, something like a jeep or boat (fun vehicles) should be as bold and stand out as much as possible. I was sold from the first time i saw a Gecko drive down the road, but the lime green color has always been my favorite color from a very young age.
dont be afraid to stand out my friend, but be prepared to get seen by people you know ANYWHERE you go. i cant run to get a gallon of milk without getting a phone call or text from somebody that has seen me but i like it.

MonkeyMonsoon I wanted gecko but there were none around, so it came down to options. They had a billet freedom edition on the lot. Fell in love with the interior so thats how I ended up with silver. It seems like every time I buy a new vehicle I never end up with the color I set out to get.

lindel Go with what appeals. Basically, get what you like. It's your Jeep, you're the one that has to live with it. So get what you like from the start.

I'm having a hard time choosing a color. Did you guys have a tough time as well? I don't mind being a little bold with the color. I like the gecko green, but not sure if it's too bold. I'm thinking about resale value as well. Not sure if gecko green will be a turn off 5 years down the road...

We narrowed it down to commando green, true blue, and white. But, apart of me is leaning towards dozer or gecko

How did you go about choosing a color??

THANKS
I saw anvil at the auto show and was pretty much sold, especially with the red seats.

I think most of the Jeep colors are pretty neat. I saw a gecko green unlimited yesterday. Nice color.

About resale. I think many people like the gecko green and jeeps have a great resale. I would buy something I wanted and not worry about resale.
