Factory Stereo Crossover?

Does anyone know if there is a crossover built into the factory stereo? I have the lowest model RES130 (NO Sirius) head unit. I recently installed a new component system (Pioneer TS-A1605C 6.5" Component Speakers) and hooked everything up to the crossover per the destructions, because I noticed a small diode on the factory tweeter and wasn't sure if this was the factory's idea of a passive crossover or not. I figured I'd err on the safe side. Everything sounds ok, but I plan on adding an amp in the near future and was wondering if I could omit the Pioneer crossovers to avoid loss, if the signal is being shaped right out of the head unit. Thank you!
