Im totally nervous about not being able to inspect it. I work the next two weekends and dont have big enough gaps in my week to do it. Plus its going to be a surprise for my wife and I cant disappear that long.

nobndry Where in VA is the jeep located? I'm headed to Nashville to visit a friend and I'd be willing to drive it for free and fly home.

Edit: never mind I literally just found out that I won't be going to Nashville any more.

live_slow Car shipping is priced like any other commodity, the price per mile varies quite a bit and it's always a bidding war.

I have used Nationwide Auto Transport 6 or 7 times. They take a cut and bid your stuff to the carriers. Always great service. Always go the extra mile. The prices are fair. All their carrier subs that I've dealt with are insured/bonded and good people, otherwise they wouldn't last long in the business. I even had one find a guy to hold a car an extra 24hrs on the fly because we ran late on the meet up.

Edit, I noticed lots of companies use that name. The guys I worked with are at (800) 689-6498.

Chipmunk I have had awesome experience with Uship. I sent out my 78 powerwagon to south carolina to have it lifted (subframe, 6" body lift and 9 inch spring lift with 56" boggers) and sent back for 789? I think. Coming from upstate ny I thought it wasn't bad..

Recommend a jeep transport company?

Buying a jeep in Virginia because the price was right. I am in Nashville,TN.
Its 550 miles one way and I don't have the time to drive there and back and it would cost almost just as much to fly there one way and then drive the vehicle back.

Anyone recommend a transport company with reasonable rates? All my estimates are coming in at $600+
