FYI...I tried several of those cheap ($100-200) thermoelectric coolers that supposedly keep your stuff at 40 degrees below ambient. None of them even came close to delivering on that promise. Besides, if it's 90 degrees in the back of your Jeep, you'll be very lucky to have 60-degree drinks. Ice works much better...but can be a mess. Save your money and get a decent cooler with a real compressor. I have a Coolmatic that I paid about $600 for more than 10 years ago in the back of the JK. They can sometimes be finicky about power supply, but the Coolmatic has surprisingly been running perfectly plugged into the rear 12-volt outlet by the subwoofer. If the power supply was inadequate, an error light would illuminate on the control panel.

ARB also makes a very nice does FridgeFreeze. I've had a FridgeFreeze in the back of my truck for 7 years. It's an amazing unit, but it should be for about $1800. I ran a dedicated heavy-gauge wire to the battery for it with a switch on the dashboard. There's a remote temp sensor on the truck's overhead console so I can monitor the temperature in the fridge from inside the cab.

A true compressor-driven fridge can seem like a huge cost...but if you add up the amount of money you've spent over the years on ice and cheaper throw-away coolers, it evens out. And it certainly is nice to be able to make ice in the field and keep frozen foods frozen. I consider the refrigerators to have been one of the best and most cost-efficient mods made to any of my vehicles.

But back to the actual thread topic, Tuffy makes boxes for behind the seat storage...both small and large.

jt5280 I know exactly what you're talking about.

I had a similar setup in my '96, including the storage boxes over the wheel well. Bestop use to make them (my uncle gave me a set to product test when he worked there). But, I haven't seen anything like them for the JK.

Behind rear seat storage box

I had a 2001 wrangler sport that had the plastic trunk box storage behind the rear seat. Does anybody know of anything like this that will fit a 2013 wrangler freedom edition?
