j33pjk The end caps are ok but i really liked the factory looking welded caps, got the winch the winch plate and a spare bumper........now its just time to decide how much work i really want to put into this, lol

Easiest install I've done.

Cut the ends off, mount the caps, drill holes, insert retaining plugs.

Vdp stubby kit. Plastic end caps.

Someone also makes a kit with metal end caps.

dabolt55 Welcome, I believe they cut the bumper ends and then attached caps to it with bolts... Good luck and enjoy....

Beastmaster I haven't seen anyone "welding" them, but I have seen some cut down and bolted on. Because this is the newbie check-in area, you may not get the answers you are looking for. I suggest you check out this forum area and post your questions there, I think you'll get a better response.

Plastic Welding Factory JK Front Bumper

I have read about somebody making they're own shorty stock bumper on their JK and plastic welding the ends. Anybody have any info on this? I plan on installing a winch in the factory bumper and really like the plastic welded ends on their shorty (i think they said they used a soldering iron to do it).
