GoldenSahara00 Yep... done for now. Dodge Dart expert huh?

LoveJiuJitsu Well, his signature in his email does say "Dodge Dart Expert"

I should have known from "Hello".

God, did I just go there? I've now jumped the shark.

GoldenSahara00 Seriously, some people are just morons. I mean get some real jeep guys to work at the dealership. That's how you get business.

LoveJiuJitsu Buying mods in the meantime! Little, but necessary mods imho.

When I do finally sell the two vehicles, you can bet your @$$ I won't go back to that dealership lol.

I'm still dying at the whole "no power anything???" thing.

GoldenSahara00 Haha yeah, he fixes em up, dumps money in them, then sells them and starts over. Idk why. I got him into a YJ though, so he has a bug now. He just bought a second parts Jeep!.

That sounds like a tempting reason to sell

LoveJiuJitsu Nice Kaminari kit on it I went with Wings West. The MR2 is awesome!

Need to sell these two so I can get my Billet Oscar Mike!

GoldenSahara00 Brother had a 93 and a 03 I think. Now a 87 MR2 that he is getting into

Celicas are nice cars, and good balance of mileage/performance IMO.

Wranglin4Life Man that is a beautiful Jeep. Dont sell it, just get a new one and keep that one as the weekend ride to car shows and what not.

As for keeping her, It would almost be pointless for me, as I wouldn't drive her anywhere with the kids. I almost always have one of them with me. Can't use it for a DD either, as work takes a minimum of 45 minute one way commute on a densely populated highway here in Atlanta. No waaaaay lol. Not to mention, will help tremendously with getting more money down on the JKU. The less the payment, the better.
I see, wasn't sure if you were set on using it as leverage towards a newer jeep at the dealership. Thats what I did when I bought my TJ last summer. Liquidated my mazda pickup and yamaha sled as private sales and went to get my jeep (which also was a private sale). So far I'm very happy that I did the sales on my own. Ended up with some extra cash after everything was said and done.

Barmanvarn Ok. Get a new jeep.

But for the love of all that is holy, keep your old one.

LoveJiuJitsu One reason, and one reason only....Ok, I lied. Two reasons. My 11 year old son, and 8 year old daughter.

I was on the way to my sons lacrosse practice the other day with both of them in the CJ. Someone decided that it was in their best interest to not even bother looking before pulling out in front of me. All I could think of was "my god....my kids are in this traveling metal box" as I was jamming on the brakes as hard as I could....in other words, it scared the hell out of me.

Soooo, I'm wanting to get a new JKU. I can barely fit my sons lacrosse equipment in the CJ or my Celica, so selling them both to get a JKU. Can't let the wife have all the fun, now!

I love the CJ to death, but after that experience, I honestly no longer feel safe having them in it, no matter how fun she is to drive

Dealership ignorance = hilarity.....

So I am wanting to get a 2013/2014 JKU. I let them know that I had a great 1979 CJ5 I want to trade in, so they say something along the lines of "Wow! We can't wait to see that pull up! Bring it in!"....so I did.

As soon as I pulled into the lot and stepped out of the CJ, there were the two internet sales reps gawking. I immediately knew this was going to be a mess though, as soon as one of them opened his mouth. The questions went something like:

"Wait? There's no power steering? No airbags? No power brakes? No air conditioning???! Why is the VIN not a proper 17 digit VIN???!"

Needless to say, they thought that all of these were terrible and offered me a whopping $3000 for her. Now I know that they are a dealership and their goal is to make money, but I just had to laugh at the whole situation and drive back home.

Was quite a funny experience.
