groovebus I bought a brand new '99 TJ, then in 2001 I got married and we had a baby 9.5 months later. One car seat in the back is fine. In a couple years, when the second one comes along, you will have to upgrade to the 4 door. (model of your choosing) That's what happened to me. But I ended up with a Liberty (first year they came out) It was a good ride, no major issues. Just traded it in on a JKU Sport. Both girls are bigger now, so off to the trails.

Yankees251 My JK isn't my daily driver but I drive it enough with two small kids. If you're tall it won't be a big deal to reach in and buckle your little guy. My wife simply can't do it, she's too short. She has to crawl into back seat and do it and hates it. Now that it's warm and top is off the kids love it and I can reach right in to buckle.

kk2800 Sometimes I take my grandson in mine. I dont do it often and it isnt the easiest thing getting the rear facing baby seat in the back. Maybe with more practice it might get easier?

Burger16b I have my 6 month old in the Greco rear facing car seat with the base station in it all the time. It isn't the greatest but it it's doable and you can fit the compact stroller in the back but not a full size. On a side not we took my inlaws hummer on a lo g trip and there still is t much room. I thin with any rear facing seat they just take up tomuch room. Front facing once there older will be fine in a 2 door but not much trunk space either way but u knew that buying a 2door. Congrats on the baby

Who uses a baby seat in their 2 door?

Found out the wife is pregnant (super excited), now I went from looking at future mods to looking at baby seats lol. I knew when I bout the 2 door in October I would have a kid sooner or later and fitting a baby seat wouldn't be a big deal but now I actually have to look into it. Does anyone with kids regret buying a 2 door?
