Oh yeah... one of my favorite Dodge B-Bodies... 440 was no slouch.

I'm a 1960-70's Chrysler Plymouth and Dodge fanatic... mostly B's.

I sold my '65 Plymouth before the market tumbled...

m998dna You guys don't actually drive your motorcycles do you?

I know, semantics.

But I always have a good laugh when I hear someone say I drove my Harley to Cook's Corner last weekend.

I used to ride, but still drive.

You will probably lose some mpg's and a lot of power, but a manual wrangler is a lot of fun to drive.
Yeah, this is a tuff one. The Chevy is very a very rare combo - SWB, v-8, 5 spd and 4 wheel disc brakes. I think it was the last year for that combo. I bought it sight-unseen over the internet - had to go 1500 miles to find it in Pennsylvania. Body is perfect, good mechanically, but it has some "Rust-Belt" rust on the frame. Vehicle is fast, handles well, a great machine for going fast on dirt roads here in Texas or twisty mountain roads. I don't think it would be very good on rocky trails as I don't trust that front CV driveshafts at all in the rough. But I'm 67 years old and have lost a lot of mechanic dexterity in the hands and can't see myself even changing plugs, let alone going into the axles or brakes. My wife hates the thing and refuses to ride in it.

So, one possibility is to sell it for as much as I can get, give her at AT Wrangler, and order a 6 spd. Here in South Texas I can't even find a manual shift Wrangler on a dealer lot to test drive.

Some days, and today is one of them, I'm in the mood to invest in the Chevy and get the 100,000 driveline maintenance done, tomorrow I'll be dreaming about a Wrangler.

Thanks. The base engine in the 1967 R/T was a 440 the only optional engine was the 426 Hemi. Wish I had the Hemi, but I have the 440. :-)
