|jeepflipper94||Yeah I won't be doing anything serious until I can get a job that gives me a disposable income. For now the d35 can stay I think it will be fine with a new set 32x11.5 tires.|

I do believe some early JK's were so lucky to have a 35 rear.
I test drove a Sahara way back that did.
I would be on the lookout for a 44 take off. That's probably your best bet if gearing is the same.

|Jaker jk||Are you super postive you have a rear 35 , I know they are out there but a few people have said that and took a picture only to find out they have a 44|

If you plan on using your wrangler mainly on highway and not going to larger tires, no larger than 32s and staying a little easy on the throttle, then the Dana 35 will be just fine.
If larger tires, bigger than 32s are in your plans and some hard off road, like rock crawling, where your wheels may start bouncing, then the shock load affect on the rear axles will cause a failure. You notice that I said will cause, not may cause, because it will happen eventually. The Dana 35 is not designed for this type of shock load, I know, because I had one in my TJ.
If you want to use it off road with large tires, then you have two (2) options. Look at salvage yards, or craigslist for a used new generation Dana 44, but plan on changing the Ratio in the front Dana 30 as well. This can get pretty costly and time consuming. Option two is to purchase a Dana 35 Super S kit. You can order it with a Detroit Locker, and C Clip eliminator. It comes with Chrome Moly 30 spline shafts.
Either option will help your rear diff and axles to live off road with large tires and rock crawling. In the same time you should decide which diff ratio is best needed, per what ever tire size you decide on.

Dana 35 2007 Jeep Jk
Hey guys. So my Jeep is one of the lucky JKs to get the dana 35 rear end. I was just wondering if they upgraded the d35 or is it the same one out of the tj? I am hoping that it has 30 spline shafts instead of the typical 27 found on the tj. I have searched everywhere and even found the oem d35 shafts for the jk but there are not any details about them anywhere. Any help would be great!
