Finally bit the bullet an ordered Centramatic Balancers for my rig. The reviews are all great and a fellow Jeeper runs them and can't say enough about them.
Here's a link if you're wondering what they are...

|Sinister6||Yup, running spare right now. I still haven't been able to wheel the damn thing since I put Trussed & Gusseted the front end! Frustrating to say the least! Hopefully I'll get out on Wed after work.|

Here's some pics of the old lugs (Left) and the new lugs on the right!
You can see the cap/head is larger on the new lug.
The new lug is also shorter.

Last weekend on the way to a trail, I felt a vibration, honestly thought it was the transmission. Well, we got to the gas station till top off the tank and heard a loud thunking noise. Based on the slow pace and loud noise suspected the drive shaft. As I got back into the Jeep I noticed several lugs, bolt and nut, sitting inside the rockring of my beadlock. Looked at the wheel and saw the wheel held on by just 2 very loose lugs!! Everything had been torqued down to 85FT that week. The Lugs pulled through the axle flange. The axles were new Ten Factory shafts installed by a local shop several months earlier. I spoke with Brian at Northridge and he sent the pictures to Ten Factory, 3 hours later I got a call saying they have never seen anything like it and were sending out a brand new set of axles! That IS customer service! My concerns were that they did not know what happened that would cause it. Anyway I suspected the shop did not use the lugs from Ten Factory. But I had to wait until the new shafts arrived to compare the lugs that were pressed in and the ones sent with the new shafts. Sure enough there was a difference, they new ones were shorter and the cap or head is larger. So I went to the shop and addressed it. They of course would not admit it and claimed they did not have that style lug in the shop. Well, we went around and finally came to a mutual agreement.
The new lugs took over 12 ton of pressure to press them in, which is reassuring. I ordered a new TrailReady Beadlock which will be here on Tuesday. I got real lucky that the wheel stayed on until we stopped to get gas. I70 in CO has 8% grades and huge drop offs, the Jeep gods were smiling on us that day!

|tabber02||dude, the rig looks awesome! nice job with the truss... very nice!|
|07-06-2014 05:03 PM|
|Sinister6||Thanks for the compliments. The back of the Morion-Teks have hooks the just need to be loosened to get into the back. I guess it's a trade off...access that's too easy means easy for anyone to get into the back, overall, I'm satisfied with the straps.|
|07-05-2014 11:18 PM|
|TJZ||Why does nobody make a net with access ! Those look great, but again. No rear or side access. It is now my mission to make the perfect cargo nets. I hate my Smittybilt and have no interest in nets that don't allow access. Great freakin dogs though, dude ! Nice rig as well !|

|Sinister6||Thanks! Siberian Huskies... Kumo (red) Hercules (duh) love riding!|

|GSXRMAN14||^Beautiful dogs!!! Are those Huskies or Alaskan Malamutes?|
|07-05-2014 01:27 PM|
Boys love the cargo net!
|07-03-2014 02:59 PM|
|Sinister6||Got the rest of the Motion-Tek straps installed. Fit well, look great! Only concern is no snap or easy open for the back.|
|07-03-2014 11:32 AM|
|Sinister6||WOW! New Ball Joints made a HUGE difference! Got Jeep up to 70+ front end is smooth!|

Jeep is back together and everything works. A lot of work, some may say a bit of overkill but that front axle is bombproof! Ready for 37's!
And icing on the cake my Motion-Tek cargo straps arrived today! it was only in the 50's here today so I got the sides on put the rest on tomorrow when it warms up.

But I came to your rescue! I may not have been much of a help since I'm a beginner at all of this mechanical stuff, but at least I could cheer you on thanks for being a good teacher....

|Sinister6||Jeep is almost back together! Attachment 1261202 Putting back together by myself is a PITA! Using floor jacks and leverage makes it a but easier.|
