|Scott2373||There are two versions of the EVIC (Electronic Vehicle Information Center) available. One only displays Temp/Dir, DTE, and Fuel Economy and is in standard digital (think alarm clock) format. The other one came with the Power Convenience Package (Power windows/locks etc.) This one is in Dot Matrix format and allows for the changing of settings and various other functions along with the above stated functions.|

The radio will turn itself off after a time. But, I mean, you took the time to unplug the wiring harness, buy a T45 and unscrew the hinge nuts, undo the little nylon strap and store the doors. To my mind, having to push the button to turn off the radio is not that big of a deal.
cory v - I'm pretty sure the oil change turn-off is the same on all JKs: turn the key to "on" (without starting the Jeep) and then push the accelerator to the floor three times within ten seconds. Turn off the key and turn it back on. Your oil change light should be off.

It is the EVIC, and if you do not have the buttons on the steering wheel for it. Then disregard the comments about it.

This. I set mine to 45 seconds. It usually takes me that long to get out.
Now to just stop hitting the lock button on the keyfob and letting the horn chip, it must make me look stupid.

|DFW6ER||Not sure what year your jeep is, OP. But mine (2012) will automatically turn off after 5 minutes or so..but you can go into the menu from the steeringwheel inputs and manually adjust the amount of time you want it to stay on. Or you can just manually push the power button.|
