|kisportolt||look at the yj portion of this forum, clearly there are many of them still out there. mine has over 199k and is still going strong. and yes, you can find parts for them especially with junk yards and eBay (saw your discussion with someone else on another thread). if you can find one that's been taken care of, yjs are still great vehicles. some advice- try to find a 95 yj, it's the first galvanized frame so you'll have better luck with rust.|

possibly buying an older jeep.
well as the title says i am searching for an older jeep. it will be a daily car to take me to and from work. roughly 40 miles a day, of course taking it to the beach and enjoying it !
any way, i have always liked the YJs for their front head lights. i dont mind getting a CJ or TJ at this point either.
my question is, how reliable is a older jeep like those ? most of the ones on craigslist has listed have upwards of 100k miles which is understandable, but will it break down a few hundred miles ?
i plan to change all fluids once one is in my possession and plan to take care of it like its brand new if that matters.
also, is there another site i can search for used jeeps in my area ? craigslist is plagued with liars when it comes to auto sales.
im looking to spend between 2-5k on it. much more, than the point of saving money goes out the door haha.
