0III0forlife Is it a Tom Woods or some other proffesional driveshaft? Or is it just a home built shaft? It might need balanced if it is. Probably what destroyed the front input shaft seal in the Ford 8.8

The size of the motor shouldnt matter for the fuel pump. If it previously had a 304 V8 in it, that wasnt stock, and it had a fuel pump on the motor not in the tank. Or atleast thats the way any 304 I have ever had was. Could be the strainer sock on the bottom of the pump in the tank is clogged with sediment. Might be time to drop the tank for inspection.

Or is the axle bent its a 28 spline, it had a 304 in before i bought it and he said he was breaking drive sahfts all the time, ujoints more likely, also 3 fuel pumps have gone out on it, last one was an in tank unit with regulator then filter mechanic said it was fried only two tanks of fuel went through it in 1 year so sediment? wiring? everything was replaced for fuel delivery says prev owner lines everything, so thats what i got going on any help would be great, motor is a high output 96 I6 out of cherokee
