how to stop brake lines from rubbing

Was doing some wheeling this past weekend and didn't realize my front brake lines were rubbing on my tires till I was headed down a steep hill and blew the line out on the right side. Cleaned it off, had some super glue and duct tape with me and did a quick crappy patch but I was able to limp it home. Bought a new one and installed it and slightly changed the angle but I noticed my left front has some wear on it also. Any hints to rerouting them or should I just get steel braided ones. 94yj
