Seginus I am ordering these:
Husky Liners Custom Fit Front Mudguard for Select Jeep Wrangler Models - Pack of 2 (Black) : Amazon.com : Automotive

The look like the Mopar ones but are much cheaper. 35-ish versus 50-ish.

reade Found these for $14.16 shipped if anyone wants a pair.

Yeah it's annoying and I had no idea. I took mine off right after I bought it because I didn't like the way it looked. I drive to the inspection stand an they said I failed for flaps. Luckily I tossed them in the back of the jeep so I reclipped them and passed.

I'm game for whatever, will keep everything the same, I only feel bad that there was a mis-communication!

It was me bro, and I had no idea you were interested in buying them. Your post was

"Anyone run mud flaps/guards?
Buy them? Make them? Pics?"

I just sent him a PM to ask how much. My intent was not to snipe them from you. I would be happy to concede if you wish to buy them from him. He has not gotten back to me with a total with shipping as of yet so I have not sent any money. Just say the word and they are yours. If not I will take them.

My apologies,

Ron

PS, my name is Lewd Dude, not Shrewd Dude! LOL

Lane24 I put the mopar ones on the front because I have no running boards, and my JK always looked like this on the side...lol... Muddy muddy muddyy.
The mud guards really helped the side stay moderatley clean now. Don't have em on the back cuz I don't care if the people behind me get muddy.

JB71 I've got the Mopar guards and love em.....As stated above, they are much more sturdy than you think. I've put mine through some tough wheeling and they hang tough. Also, they will pop back into shape if bent back, I've bent mine a time or two.

bill9274 only true Red Necks around here have mud flaps usually homade there jeeps are beat to pieces and a few have stacks coming out of the back beside the roll bar and most have a PVC snorkel with a k& n filter stuck on it.

TxJprs I've got the Mopar splash guards up front to help keep the doors clean in between off-road trips and/or washes. They come off very easy for when I go off-roading.

kbwwolf You'll find a lot of naysayers in these threads (I'm probably one of em), but if you want em, here they are:

onetraveller I'm running the MOPAR mud flaps. They blend right in and you don't even notice them if you aren't looking for them. They do an excellent job of reducing the side spatter on the Jeep. The rear ones help keep my trailers clean.

MarkII I'm happy with mine. The spray from the front tires starts in that bottom corner and then spreads real wide across the entire door and covers the door handles. The flaps completely stopped it. I live on a dirt/gravel road but use it as a DD and am not always dressed casually to roll with the mud. No flaps in the back though.

BacaraJKU I know I've seen comments on here where many don't like the flaps. I personally want them and all probably buy them. Main reason is, when I switch from running boards I have (sit way high next to body) and get power steps, I think jeep looks likes its missing something. Hoping flaps fix this for me.

I have a 4 door, but 2 door looks same with steps when they are up. Also hoping for some function here as I do a lot of sand driving and don't want to ruin powersteps.

LewdDude looks pretty good with painted fenders as well! I have no idea who's jeep this is, I just googled it...lol but I have a sahara in CG and wanted to see what they would look like.

Garyjk1 Sorry about the pic, it's the only one I have of the rear that will show the flaps (that's my bride when I drove her up to the mountain for the day). About a month before this photo was taken, my brides sister was injured, so Julie decided to go visit her and help out around the house for a few days. The drive over was along the gorge from Portland to eastern Washington, which when the ice comes in winter, they use sand on the roads. Our Jeep had about 1500 miles on it at the time and the thought of "Sandblasting" the lower rockers made me ill. I bought these from my local dealer for I believe $45-48 per pair, the install was easy, they are very well mounted, and do exactly what I want them to do. I've actually really grown to like them even in the summer, so they will stay, possibly forever, or maybe get replaced by rocker guards of some sort, not really sure.
