heh regear in my area is around 1100. Also as far as gears go get the tires on and see how you like it. It's not going to be a sports car but I bet it's more then drivable especially with the 3.6 while you mod other parts.
I have 35's with 3.73 and the 3.8 and its very drivable especially with the 3.6

it says, 2012-2013 models require exhaust modification to clear front driveshaft with the 3.5 lift. Did you have to do this?

do the 3.5 series 2 it comes with better shocks also get the adjustable track bar. I love mine rides great and no issues.

|cj-||Thanks guys for all the feedback, I guess the main issue is the 3.21 gearing that will need to be upgraded soon after. Does $1500 sound about right to get the gearing upgraded?|

|jkjeeper06||OP, if you want a good lift that is comparable to the RC one in price you can look at zone(carried by our vendors) its made by BDS as recommended above. I believe the 3" is just over $400. The STT's are heavy, but excellent tires. If you don't think you will need that exact tire you could go lighter with something like the duratrac, BFG mud terrain, BFG all terrain, or other various lighter tires. Eventually running 35's on the stock tailgate will pop welds. It may take 200 miles or 200k miles(hence the varying "opinion") things that will speed this up are large potholes and off roading. If you took it off the back and put it in your trunk if/when you wheel, it would help it last longer. You could get away with it for a while as long as you took it easy on it until you could buy a carrier. I've also seen someone make a support for the tire on their bumper, as well as another person do it out of a hitch|

I wouldn't do a Rough Country. Go Rock Krawler, Teraflex, Synergy, BDS, even Rubicon Express before RC.
If you are ordering aftermarket wheels, get the proper backspacing and you won't need spacers. Chances are the Pintlers will be good to go.
I would strongly suggest an aftermarket tire carrier. Before I got my carrier I daily drove without the spare and tossed it in the back when going wheeling.
Your 3.21 will be maxed, 3.6L or not, I think it will be pretty sluggish. You will lose OD or 6th and that shouldn't be ok.

Hi, this is my 1st post and 1st time jeep owner! I wanted to thank everyone in advance for the wealth of knowledge here.
I'm hoping you can answer a few questions I have for the following add-on's I'm looking to upgrade to:
Currently, its a 2013 Wrangler Sport 2-door
I'm looking at adding the following:
Rough Country 3.25" Progressive Suspension Lift Kit
AEV 17x8.5 Pintler Wheel
Cooper Discoverer STT 35X12.50R17
Will I need wheel spacers, if so, do you know what I'll need?
Is it safe to say I shouldn't mount a 35" tire on the stock carrier?
For a cheap upgrade should this one work OK?
Smittybilt Oversized Tire Carrier
Is there anything else I should be considering to make all this work right?
Will the stock 3.21 gears be OK with this setup?
