Made a DIY hardtop hanging system with eyebolts and ratchet straps. Works, but not very well as the ratchets have reached their limit and the top is too low for my taste. Will probably spring for a Hoist-A-Top setup.
Removed hardtop and switched to my soft top.
Installed Carolina Metal Masters grab handles in black, both front and rear.
Drove around with the Sunrider open. Love it!

Finally finished my black lug nut conversion. Looks so much better without those ugly tin sleeve acorn nuts.

|tomgillotti||Took the fenders off, washed, sanded, primed with rustoleum primer and painted the first one with rattle can bedliner (also rustoleum)... first one turned out... not so good. I was planning on doing this paint scheme with my new JCR Vanguard bumper when it came in, so I wanted it to match. plus, having the fenders resistant to scratches would be nice as well.... well, the sanding lines are visible and the coat is far from even. I know it's less the materials, and more user error..... but, ughh....|

PS The antenna mount is the Teraflex spare tire mount option that came with the radio kit. Tip: remove the paint where the antenna attaches to the mount and under one of the mounting bolt contact points to ensure a good ground.
The balanced SWR of this install was 1 and 1 . no length adjustment was required at all.

This is a link to the Jeep radio kit complete with pictures. They also have great instruction on tuning your antenna with SWR meter included with kit.

Sorry did not really take any shots during install. There are a couple good videos on u tube for installing the 75 in a JK. I have a couple shots that I just went out and took which show the trickiest parts.
The following video is what I used as a basic guide but I did things a bit differently as in where I put the external speaker and I drilled NO holes in anything.

If you get the kit from real channel you will not have to purchase anything else. The guy in this video pieced it together.
Antenna wire runs from tail gate to pasenger side roll cage cover, unzip and lay the cable along the bar all the way to top right windshield post. You do not have to remove the trim, the cable will slip in behind the trim.
That side panel between the door and the dash just pops out from the side facing back like in the video. I removed the glove box and down below I wrapped the box in foam and thats where it stays. It has a pig tail that just hangs out the back that you connect the 75 handset to. No muss no fuss.
