quadman14 See I'm planning OME springs definatly not HD now new front adjustible TB but I'm looking at replacing CA for better flex and absolute alignment adjusting. Still undecided on OME shocks or Go extra mile for Bilstein 5160's. This is good read

I can't speak for the quality of the RE kit because I have not run it.

However, I do think there is a tendency in the Jeep community to grossly underestimate the quality & capability of OEM control arms.

Depends.......the basic OME kit(shocks, springs, rear bumpstop extensions, trabar relocation bracket and stabilizer for steering)is a good foundation. But the Deluxe,Ultmate kits etc. from DPG start to throw a lot of filler parts or parts of questionable design into the equation. JKS parts in other words leave a lot to be desired. But kits based on OME springs and shocks can and will flex nice and can be the base of a really well dialed in setup.

Jgood738 Wow. Lots of changes in 4 months. After listing my intentions, Dirk at DPG recommended and customized the ultimate kit with the hd springs. The guy knows his stuff and he nailed it. The ride is amazing on and off road. I still don't have a winch though.

One of my favorite "stealth" builds has to go to IslandTJ. Runs pretty much everything I am a fan of. No filler in this build.

I would not consider Tom Woods driveshafts "strong", or maybe I should better state, strong compared to some other DS offerings from other companies.......especially for the premium they charge. TW has a less than stellar rep in my neck of the woods in terms of the actual quality of their product.

What do you think of the dirtworx bumper you have?
People need to clarify what they consider the "HD" springs. For OME that would be 2933's front and 2942's back.

I have a completely loaded LJ with full under armor, full MC fenders and sliders, BOdy Armor safari rack, EXOGATE, heavy duty F/R bumpers, hardtop etc, and I run 2933's and 2942's back. I have the 2949 rear springs as well(Which are NEW and are for sale), and even with all the extra weight I have would NEVER recommend the 2949's unless your carrying well beyond the weight I do in the rear. Even when Im empty(no extra passengers, or luggage in back or on top, and a gas tank less than half full) the 2942's are a tad on the stiff side. Same with the 2934's in the front meant for the XJ.

Either way, OME's springs are on my short "approved" list.

i just want to clear 33´s and have good flex and good onroad driving.
the kit comes with monotube or dual tube shocks your choice RE also.

what i love about 1in BL is the possibility of tummy tuck and gas tank tuck. low CG and a lot more ground clearance.

I would stick with OME. RE's springs are a lot stiffer and don't ride as nice. Besides the original RE company went under and was taken over by what I believe is the same company that owns 4wheel parts or something. The quality and craftsmanship probably is not what it once was.

sm31 DPG Ultimate kit installed for a year now, and loving it. Obligatory flex shot follows...

Jeembro DPG Ultimate with the HD springs and a few other goodies. Love the ride

distortedtj See my jeep profile for photos and spec's.

Dirk's "ultimate kit" is a good lift for those that like to daily drive and still hit the dirt when they want.

Not a problem man. He got me my bumper in about 3.5 weeks. Which isn't bad when you consider it's a custom, hand-built carrier. But good luck with your purchases. Let me know if you have any questions.

P.S. One pointer, put the swing out on the bumper and install it as one piece. You can do it one at a time, but it's pretty tight squeeze with the taillight.
