infantmarsupial I found the pics of your jeep while looking for some steel rims for my unlimited. May i ask what backspacing you're running? I've been told 3.5 to 4 would be enough to prevent rubbing.

Cloak'd LJ on 35's

So about 8 months ago, I bought this LJ off of Ebay, and to say that it's been a "project" would be an undertatement... Rust everywhere, 9 inches of lift, zipties holding the flares on, etc... It was a one owner rig, that looked like it saw nothing but Mud it's whole life:
(I was so horrified with what I did, I didn't even save any pics of when I first got it)
Starting the teardown:

Down to stock height:

New wheels:

A bunch of busted knuckles, cutting, torching, and wrenching... And the (almost) finished product:

Since I bought the jeep, it's been a constant string of projects to get it to what I'm looking for, which is an LCG crawler that can be driven on a daily basis! To that end, this is what's been done so far! (Everything listed is a modification that I have done to the jeep, none of what is listed here was installed on it when I bought it)

Jasper Stage 2 Rebuilt engine
Comp Cams "Extreme" camshaft
New radiator, water pump, and hoses
Spectre Cold air intake
All new Catalytic converters(old ones were shot)
High clearance exhaust w/magnaflow muffler

Hayden Trans cooler
'06 Mopar trans pan(more capacity)

BRAND NEW Rubicon Unlimited Hard top springs
1" bumpstop extensions
3/4" Daystar spring isolators
Old Man Emu shock absorbers
rear shock relocation brackets
All new trackbar bushings
rebuilt Procomp lower control arms
JKS rear upper adjustable control arms
JKS Quicker Disconnects
Summit Racing Poly rear swaybar links

Grand Cherokee Tie Rod upgrade
New Ball Joints
New drag collar
New PS Lines
Re-located steering column

New Rotors front/rear
New Master Cylinder
Performance Friction brake pads

Err... uh.... Nothing other than a working stereo... LOL

Metalcloak front fenders and arched flares
Metalcloak rear full corners and flares
Metalcloak full rocker guards
Currie rock crawler front bumper
HyLyne rear tire carrier
LED turn signals
Warn 9500 winch
Aurora LED Fog Lights
AEV Tummy Tuck
AEV Engine Skid
AEV Transmission Skid

Wheel Vintiques 15x8 Smoothies
35x12.50x15 General Grabber "red letters"

So, that's the list "so far". What's on the "to do" list? well...

1. rockhard sport cage
2. re-gear and lockers
3. interior storage and security
4. CB Radio
5. Genright rear crossmember
6. some sort of sport seats
7. harnesses
8. diff covers
9. paint job and bodywork
