Antenna_X unfortunately, that adapter has to be made this way to maintain strength. see pic below on our last Jeep

t.schabel Alright so what I did is found a pack of black rubber vacuum caps I had in the garage and cut the top off of one and slid it all the way down the antenna to the base. It covers the silver showing from the adapter piece. I'll see how well it stays in place after driving 60 miles tomorrow on the highway to and from work.

Antenna X shorty antenna

Hey guys and gals, just got my 14" black billet short antenna for my two door---love the length, but I'm not digging how the adapter piece is silver and contrasts the black frame and antenna. Am I not screwing it down all the way? (I'm not sure how I can force it down anymore without breaking or scratching something) What have you guys done to hide that silver adapter piece, if anything? Pics of your antenna and advice would be very helpful. Thanks!
