You should be fine. That's not much larger of a tire size so it should be ok on stock gears

Now if it is mainly an off road vehicle then 5.13's will be great but if it is a DD I would stay with 4.88 with 35's. Since you need new carriers anyways, I would highly consider lockers.
Auto or manual?

WatchThis! Are you planing on doing it yourself? (I honestly don't see anyone who dosent know what they need having the tools or knowledge to get a R&P set up close enough to run on the street)

If not lots of shops will give you a warranty if you buy the parts from them.

Depending on how many miles you have on it you will need either a master install kit (has all new bearings in it) or an minimum install kit. Yes you will need a new carrier if your stock ratio is 3:21. And of course you will also need a R&P set.

Good luck!
"C" is some pretty good advice too....

tabber02 welcome to the forum Charlie.

yes you need the ring and pinion. look for G2 (what I have), superior, or Yukon. you definitely will need a carrier because of the 3.21, and an overhaul kit.

if you have ever kicked around a locker, now's that time also. some good package deals to be had out there.

good luck. let us know what you decide.

re gearing 4.88 what do i need

Hello, my name Charlie. I'm new in here.
I want advice for re gearing jk 08 non Rubicon 3.21,manual . My 35 tires on the way. I hear I should change 4.88 ,is that true? What do I need to order pinion and ring 4.88 and overhaul kit? Do I need order new carrier for 4.88?is that correct? Because I heard gear 3.21 different carrier with 4.88.
And also vivid linq is that good? Thx a lot
