No, I understand that. What I had heard on the news (from two different stations) was that the white house WASN'T passing out reports. The first day they told the news people to just make some stuff up, and that would be good enough, and the second day they were given pre-written news on a disc to print. I can't find any links from those stations though, so I thought maybe someone here would have heard it or knew of a link. Could have been misinformation, the news is always good for that..

I don't mind the WH having their own report, as long as they don't stop news media from making theirs as well. With that said, the news media doesn't need to be at every single event, so I am not too upset yet. I just hope everything I heard the other day isn't true as well.
I am so "right wing" frinds have told me I make Rush Limbaugh look liberal.... but anyway, from what I have seen the media did blow it way out....

White house writes the news

Can't find a link, does anyone know where to find it? Reports were that Thursday and Friday, during the daily White House news report for reporters, the white house decided not to give them the news. On Thursday they said something like "Write what you want, and that is the news," and on Friday they were handed a disc that contained the "daily news" to print in the news papers. Supposedly even NBC/ABC/MSNBC were actually upset at the white house for once, now that they are messing with their business.

If the reports are true, it's REALLY scary that the white house is essentially taking away the news, and giving us what they want us to read, pre-written. I can't find any of the articles I read on the subject to link to though, so take this with a grain of salt unless someone can find a link.
