Suppliers in the UK usually have a limited range of manufacturers (mainly Rugged Ridge and Crown) and will not be any cheaper than importing the things yourself. What our friends in the US pay in $ with shipping and import duty we pay in £.

The best model of TJ....the one you've got of course modifying it is what its all about, you'll be skint for life but you'll have a ball.
Yeah! I like that - enjoy what I have and improve it to my taste (and pocket).
Like the sound oh the Sahara and Rubicon so may look for a newer model but have only 35k on my 1999 motor so probably just improve what I have - thanks for the advise.
You are second guy to recommend Quadratec so definitely going to give them a try.
Is there any side steps and front/rear bumper suppliers you recommend or to stay clear of (inferior products) or maybe best not answer the last bit.
Happy Jeeping. Cheers.

MarkGLHS "best spec"? the TJ Sahara model has the most content (standard equipment and available options), but the Rubicon TJ has a more stout driveline (axles, xfer case) and larger wheels/tires (16"/31") as standard equipment.

so, it depends on your view of "best spec".

Boysintown Thanks for the welcome and advise, I'll make enquiries as you suggest and check out the transmission fluid.

1. I'm UK based living in the Somerset (South West) so wondering the best people to speak to regarding spares, aftermarket bits, etc.
2. Which was the best spec TJ manufactured?
3. Is there a common fault with the 2nd gear selector - mine is not very slick!
4. Are there any UK Wrangler meets in area?

Thanks in anticipation.
Woody.
1) You can try Quadratec, I'm sure they have international shipping.

2) The best spec TJ from the factory would be the Rubicon, Some will say the Unlimited Rubicon is the best, but I digress.

3)Are you talking about 2nd gear? How old is the transmission fluid?
